The collapsing when experiencing emotion (especially laughing) is called cataplexy. The hallucinations are called hypnagogic hallucinations. Both are symptoms of narcolepsy. Same for being unable to move at times - the body experiences sleep paralysis at inappropriate times.

Yup, yup -- I get the sleep paralysis all the time.
